Service Excellence as of now in Montreal

Gebrüder Weiss opens a second location in Canada.

Just one year after the first Weiss-Röhlig branch opened in Toronto, a further office started operations in Montreal on 14 August. This was done against the backdrop of successful development of the joint venture in Canada. The new branch office’s main area of business is air freight. Consequently import and export shipments will now be processed through Montreal Airport.

The expansion in Canada is the result of successful development in North America. For a long time already, Montreal has been an important destination for the GW Group. One advantage of the new location is being able to handle orders for the French part of Canada directly on site. The optimisation of customer service in the Province of Quebec was a further motivation for opening the new office.

Experienced staff
In order to remain active in Quebec Province on a long-term basis, an understanding of local, cultural circumstances, expert knowledge of the region as well as fluency in the official national language, French, is necessary. Stephen Featherstone, Air Freight Manager at the Montreal location, meets all these requirements. Featherstone is a transport specialist who can fall back on 25 years of experience in the field of transportation and accordingly has well-founded expert knowledge. "Our customers appreciate Weiss-Röhlig's capabilities and the competence to find solutions to problems. Our customers respect both our commitment as well as close cooperation during the handling of their order," says Featherstone. 

Gebrüder Weiss expects quick growth in the region as a result of the new location in Montreal.  GW in no way excludes further expansion of the Canadian network.
