Trainee-Programme "Train the Orange Expert"
Each spring and autumn Gebrüder Weiss Vienna, located in Maria Lanzendorf, offers participation in a trainee programme to three up to five young people. The programme is particularly directed towards HAK, HBLA or HTL graduates (with complete military service)
for a compactly start into their world of work.

The single year training programme is based upon the following principles:

- "learning on the job": the trainee is introduced into a variety of processes or departments within their assigned area by means of job rotation.
- Each trainee is assigned a mentor who will be at his/her side providing advice during this trainee year.
- Regular feedback conversations are hold with personnel development.
- During the course of the training year there are regular single day workshops, during which freight forwarding matters are discussed in theory. Upon conclusion, the participants must process and solve a specific freight forwarding case.
Upon the conclusion of the training year mentors, management and personnel development decide together with the trainee in which department or in which position the 
participant will be employed ("what are your interests/strengths, in which area do I see perspectives etc.").
