Larger, more useful and safer: Weiss-Röhlig China leases warehouse for improved service quality

As of 1 May, Weiss-Röhlig China has a modern hangar at its disposal with over
1,000 m² at PVG Airport in Shanghai. What was previously handled at several smaller locations is now concentrated at one facility located directly at the airport. Product Manager Jeffrey Yang – responsible for air freight in China – coordinates the new warehouse.

"This makes much more sense for both our customers and network partners. And our work processes are much more effective now," says China Head Walter Schneider. The 42 by 24 metre long warehouse has an electronic video surveillance system that can be controlled 24-hours a day from the city office. This provides a modern standard of security, which customers of WR China really appreciate.
The hangar is another step forward in the expansion of the "China HUB system". The Shanghai airport and the Beijing airport both serve as main handling hubs for the smaller surrounding airports. This considerably improves departure options for consignments that don't come from the immediate vicinity of Shanghai or Beijing. At the same time, the long-time forwarding agent Jeffrey Yang from Weiss-Röhlig was nominated as Air Freight Product Manager. The 30 year-old trained legal expert from Shanghai has been an active member of the company for more than five years and will now become the head coordinator for air freight in China.

Gebrüder Weiss has had representatives in China for more than 16 years and now has more than 200 employees stationed there. Deliveries are made to more than 190 destinations in all of China's 22 provinces from the 15 branch locations.
